The vibe in the state of Tennessee is music. From blues and rock ‘n
roll in Memphis
to blue grass and country in Nashville,
music is everywhere. When it comes to live entertainment, there is no place
like Nashville. The downtown is
lined with bars, clubs and restaurants, most of them with live entertainment.
Every June, country music’s biggest stars descend on Nashville for the four-day annual CMA Music Festival.
The country singers perform all day and
night at various stages set up throughout downtown Nashville. Fans can get up close and
personal with their favorite artists.
With so many bars and clubs available, choosing one is not
easy. Here are the top 3 bars that I highly recommend.

Legend’s Corner
Around the corner from Ryman’s Auditorium, Legend’s Corner is the perfect place to stop for a drink. Country’s biggest stars have been known to hang out here after performing at the Ryman, so you never know who you are going to run into. You can always find a great band playing at Legend’s Corner no matter the time of day. There is no cover charge and the drinks are reasonably priced. This watering hole is loved by locals and tourists alike.

Wildhorse Saloon
A historic warehouse converted into a 66,000 square foot restaurant, the three-level Wildhorse Saloon is not only a restaurant and bar, it is also a concert site and TV studio. This mega entertainment center is a fun place to hang out, listen to a good band or participate in a line-dancing class. I always bring my out-of-town friends here; they loved the atmosphere and the delicious finger-licking southern food. I keep coming back to this establishment because the food and the service have been consistently good. But be sure to call ahead because the restaurant/club is sometimes closed for private parties and concerts.

Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar
Not a country music fan? You may be surprised to find several blues clubs in Nashville. My favorite is Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar. Located a few blocks from Broadway in Printer’s Alley, itself a landmark in Nashville, when it was home to the printing and publishing industry, Bourbon Street Blues offers some excellent blues music and food, ala New Orleans-style.
